FOR KIDS BORN 2011 TO 2014

Animal-loving kids can join us for a week filled with all-new games and activities combined with our classic camp favourites, plus animal expert guest speakers and time with some animals in the shelter. Learn about pet care, being a voice for animals everywhere and how the BC SPCA makes a difference!

TWO-DAY WORKSHOPS

Pet Behaviour & Enrichment: Explore why pets do the things they do, and discover ways we can keep our fur friends happy, healthy and staying out of trouble! This in-person workshop will help budding animal behaviourists understand pet body language and behaviour while learning some practical tips on training and creating toys and activities for pets of all kinds.

  • Date: Jul. 14-15
  • Time: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (drop-off begins at 9:00 a.m.; pick-up extends to 4:00 p.m.)
  • Age range: for youth born 2010 to 2014

Careers with Animals: Every thought about working with animals? During this in-person workshop, participants will explore animal careers within the BC SPCA through fun activities, games, guest speakers and meeting some furry friends. See firsthand how the BC SPCA cares for animals.

Pet Care 101: What do our pets need to live happy, healthy lives? What do they like to eat? How do they have fun? Discover the wonderful world of cats, dogs and small animals through fun crafts and projects that will enrich animals’ lives, connect with other animal-loving kids and meet some awesome furry friends.

Youth across B.C. and beyond are invited to join us for our fun-filled live online mini-camps!

FOR YOUTH BORN 2008 TO 2014

Xtraordinary Pets!: A virtual mini-camp all about the extraordinary animals who live in our homes — our pets! Cats or dogs, rabbits or “smalls,” let’s learn about what makes them amazing, explore their unique needs and dive into what we can do to make the world a better place for them. A virtual visit to a BC SPCA shelter, games, crafts and special guests will ensure animal-loving kids won’t miss a thing, no matter where you live!

  • Dates: Jul.6-8
  • Time: 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Wild Wacky Wonders: What wild, woolly and wacky wonders are in your backyard? Let’s explore the world of wild animals all around us with this three-day virtual camp. With special guests, Kahoot quizzes, games and crafts, we will discover what puts the WILD in “wildlife!” Online workshop available no matter where you live!
