Puss needs your help to heal

March 11, 2019

Puss was surrendered to the BC SPCA’s East Kootenay Branch when his family was unable to find pet-friendly housing. Now he needs your help to overcome a number of health issues. Puss is suffering from a painful urinary tract infection, has a large mass on his shoulder and has dental disease that requires oral surgery.

“After Puss completes a round of antibiotics and is put on a special diet, he will need two surgical procedures – one to remove the mass on his shoulder, and another to address his painful dental disease,” says Christy King, manager of the East Kootenay SPCA.

His medical treatment is expected to cost more than $1,872. “Puss is gentle and affectionate with everyone he meets. He is a tiny bit shy at first, but once this handsome tuxedo cat gets to know you, he has endless love to give,” says King.

If you can help Puss and other animals in need at the East Kootenay SPCA, please visit spca.bc.ca/medicalemergency or visit the branch at 3330 Highway 3 & 95, Cranbrook,  250-426-6751.
