With her dogs, Blizzard and Cedar, always by her side, Deborah and her husband are always there for the animals. In addition to being a PAW Plan supporter, Deborah actively fundraises in her community for BC SPCA events, helps provide her local branch – East Kootenay BC SPCA – with wish list items, is an active volunteer at her branch as a dog walker, and is always on the look-out for animals in need.
“I have always rescued my dogs and I know that I cannot save them all,” tells Deborah. “However, what I can do is donate to the BC SPCA to help trained professionals heal the physical and emotional scars that abused animals have.”
When Deborah Johnson became a monthly PAW Plan donor in early 2015 she knew it was what she had to do to take her love of animals to the next level.
“I grew up in a family that rescued animals and have a life-long love and respect for animals. It hurts my heart and angers me when I see stories of animal abuse and neglect. I give because I know that along with saving these animals, I am also ensuring the prosecution of the perpetrators of acts of cruelty and neglect.”
Deborah’s generosity knows no bounds and as a PAW Plan supporter she is saving lives every day of the year. Thank you, Deborah!
