The BC SPCA is calling on caring people across British Columbia to bring love to vulnerable animals during its Lock-In for Love fundraising event, taking place June 1 to 23.
“This is our chance to pay forward the unconditional love animals give us every day, by helping those who have experienced pain or cruelty,” says Alina Wilson, senior officer of digital giving for the BC SPCA. “We’re excited to share that after two years of virtual fundraising, this year’s Lock-In for Love will have an in-person option.”
On June 23 all fundraisers will be invited to drop by their closest participating BC SPCA location for a special thank you, and top fundraisers will have the opportunity to “lock-in” there with an animal companion for their final fundraising push.
Registration is free and to celebrate the event’s launch all donations made during registration will be matched up to $30,000, thanks to a generous gift from Hill’s Pet Nutrition. Participants then have three weeks to raise funds, leading up to the “lock-in” on June 23.
Thank you to our dedicated sponsors Petsecure Pet Health Insurance, Hill’s Pet Nutrition Canada, BMO BC SPCA Mastercard, and Yellow Dog Brewing.
