TELUS and its team members have been incredible supporters of the BC SPCA for more than 30 years! We are proud to recognize their inspiring commitment to helping animals in need by presenting TELUS with the BC SPCA’s 2016 Caring Company of the Year award.

TELUS and its employees and retirees exemplify their philosophy of “We Give Where We Live.” They have given both corporately and personally through donations and volunteer hours around the province. TELUS team members are generous and creative, innovating new ideas to support animals. For example, in June 2016, local TELUS employees planned a fun day to support the BC SPCA’s Burnaby branch, complete with food, a photo booth, and even a dog-washing station, all by donation.

TELUS has sent volunteer groups to help with projects, donated sales proceeds, provided customers with opportunities to donate, and even collected funds at their holiday parties, all to help animals! TELUS also matches employee gifts and contributes funds based on employees’ volunteer hours. They are an inspiring example of the many ways a business and its team members can make a tremendous difference in their community.

In 2015, TELUS reached a million-dollar milestone, having given $1 million to the BC SPCA! Thank you, TELUS, for your lifesaving support of animals in need across B.C. since 1981.
