If you have your 2018 BC SPCA Animals Helping Animals calendar on your wall, you can check out the handsome Maverick.

When Maverick came into Paulyne’s life, both she and her husky, Shasta, had been struggling with the passing of her 14-year-old Lab. After seeing that a “mitten-pawed” pup was looking for a home and then meeting him, Paulyne knew that it was a match.

And last year this cuddly boy inspired his mom to enter him into the BC SPCA Calendar Contest where he won the August spot in the 2018 Calendar. When asked why she decided to enter the contest, Paulyne explains that “It’s such an easy way to help animals who need it, I just had to do it!”

Maverick doesn’t let anything hold him back, but he loves hanging out at home best. “He loves playing in the backyard with his dog-sister and when he comes in, he adores watching Netflix with me, especially when I share my snacks with him.”

Paulyne’s compassion knows no bounds! On top of being an adopter and loving dog-mom, she is a generous supporter through Champions for Animals, Paws for a Cause and National Cupcake Day.
