Wild neighbours like bears, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, deer, pigeons, and other animals live alongside us across British Columbia. Human-wildlife interactions have become more common as urban development spreads into natural habitats. We can all take steps to coexist with wildlife anywhere we live to ensure these interactions do not result in conflict.
Our wildlife coexistence programming encourages respect for wild animals by minimizing harm and modifying human behaviour to prevent conflicts with wildlife and address any conflicts humanely.
