The Nelson Branch of the BC SPCA is seeking your help to provide surgery for a beautiful cat named Pablo, who was kicked so hard his hip was dislocated. Thankfully a witness came to his aid and he was taken into care at the SPCA. Pablo was given anesthesia to manipulate his hip back into place, but it dislocated again on its own, so he now requires surgery to fix the problem permanently.
“Despite everything he has been through, Pablo is a very sweet cat even though he is still very nervous, particularly around men,” says Glenda George, manager of the BC SPCA Nelson Branch. “When he is comfortable he is very chatty with humans and other cats, and loves playing with his toys.” George adds that while Pablo is fearful of new visitors he seems to really enjoy interacting with young children.
Following his surgery, Pablo may need physiotherapy to help him get moving again. His care costs are estimated to be $3,300.
