With over 20 years of HR Management experience, Cheryl’s career includes posts in both union and non-union environments, in BC Provincial Government, the Post-Secondary Education sector, and in First Nations Government. Cheryl brings with her a variety of previous Board and community volunteer experience and looks forward to providing professional expertise and sharing personal insights with the Board of the BC SPCA.

Cheryl and her husband, Greg, enjoy ‘living local’ in Terrace. Avid gardeners, they share the fruits of their labour with friends, neighbours and family members including their 2 senior golden retrievers (Bailey and Cooper), loving cat (Whiskey), and their mixed flock of chickens! From time to time, Cheryl and Greg have fostered small domestic animals, brought them to health, and either kept them as part of their family, or found ideal forever homes.

Living on acreage property in rural Northern BC, it is also common for wildlife visitors to stop by. From the small and chatty – to the grand and majestic, living a peaceful and respectful coexistence with wildlife provides for a very rich and rewarding lifestyle filled with many breathtaking moments to treasure.
