Valerie (Val) is a corporate partner at Lawson Lundell LLP. Val is the former Managing Partner of the firm, and is the Chair of the firm’s Technology and the Social Impact and Business Sustainability practice groups. Her practice is focused on transactional as well as corporate governance advisory across a range of industries.
Val is an experienced Director and Board Chair having been involved with not-for-profit boards for over 25 years. She is the immediate past-Board Chair of the YWCA-Metro Vancouver, and is a board member and Chair-elect of the Board of the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia.
Val has a B.Comm (Honours) from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School (Toronto) and Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D designation.
