Your group will enjoy a rewarding day filled with meaningful activities and gain valuable insights into animal welfare, including opportunities to interact with the animals we care for.*
Participating in a BC SPCA Many Paws Volunteer Day is not just a fantastic team-building opportunity—it’s also a chance to make a lasting difference for vulnerable animals in your community.
Average schedule for a Many Paws Volunteer Day:
- 10:00 a.m.—Arrival at the Animal Centre
- Welcome and Introduction to the BC SPCA with a presentation
- Guided tour of the Animal Centre
- 11:00 a.m.—Volunteer Activities
- Tasks may include general maintenance and upkeep tasks around the centre, like cleaning, gardening, and meal preparation
- 12:30 p.m.—Lunch (provided)
- Volunteer activities continued
- 1:30 p.m.—Volunteer Activities Continue
- 3:00 p.m.—Animals Time
- *This is dependent on the animals your selected centre has in their care at the time – please note that some animals may be too fearful, reactive or unwell to interact with people without the proper training
- 3:30-4:00 p.m.—Corporate Volunteer Day Wrap-Up
- Thank you and Photo Session
Cost
A minimum donation of $3,000 is required to host a Many Paws Volunteer Day. This donation helps cover the cost of organizing, staffing, and supervising the volunteer day, as well as providing all necessary equipment and supplies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for your team.
If your company is a long-time supporter of the BC SPCA, please submit an application form, and we will assess it on a case-by-case basis.

Before submitting your request, please keep in mind:
- Location: Many Paws Volunteer Days are currently only offered within the Lower Mainland due to staffing capacity (we hope to expand the catchment area soon!). If your team is interested in volunteering at a location outside this area, please complete a form, and we will assess the viability.
- Lead Time: We require at least two months’ notice to plan and organize your volunteer day, so please keep that in mind when requesting your dates. Confirmation can take a number of weeks but rest assured we are working hard to accommodate your request.
- Program Availability: The program runs May through September each year as the majority of tasks we need support with will take place outdoors. Please note, we are not able to offer back-to-back days.
- Day commitment: A full-day commitment is required to complete all scheduled activities. We are unable to offer shorter days.
