Powell River & District Cat Count

The BC SPCA Powell River & District is currently doing a community cat count. This means we are working to get a clear idea of how many community cats there are in our community. Once we know how many cats there are, we can make a plan and seek out funding to get these cats spayed and neutered through Trap-Neuter-Return .

Thank you for providing information about a feral cat colony (a “colony” is a term used to describe a group of cats living together.) Please answer the questions below to the best of your ability. The more information you provide, the more we are able to understand the situation in our community.

  • You can name your colony by the street name, your name or any name that will identify this group of cats.
  • Please be as specific as possible.
  • Example: rural, residential, industrial.
