Bruce was born in Cranbrook, but grew up in North Vancouver, where he was actively involved in sports. He served for many years in the Canadian Armed Forces.
From his early childhood, he was always close to, and involved with, the “animal kingdom”. His love for creatures great and small was always evident, and it is only appropriate that his love and understanding should extend itself, even after his demise. Bruce passed away at the age of 53, leaving a bequest that will help the animals at the East Kootenay Branch of the BC SPCA. John is survived by his mother and brother.
