Yes, some BC SPCA animal centres may be able to provide short-term care for your pet(s) if you are in an unexpected emergency situation. Emergency situations we might be able to assist with under our animal boarding program include sudden hospitalization, domestic violence, or disasters such as fires or floods.
Please contact the BC SPCA Animal Helpline at 1-855-622-7722 if you are in need of assistance.
Please note that our ability to help you may be affected by the current number of animals in our care and the resources available at the animal centre.
The BC SPCA Safekeepers Program assists individuals fleeing interpersonal violence by offering care for their pets with a specially trained foster family. Get more information on the BC SPCA Safekeepers Program.
