Hilary was born in Lancaster, England, and immigrated to Canada with her mother in the 1960’s. There, she lived in Calgary, Alberta for many years, until she relocated to Abbotsford, BC in the mid 70’s. Hilary was a kind, gentle and caring person, and though she had no children of her own, she loved all animals. As a child in England, she had helped her father with his prize-winning budgerigars and pigeons. Her family always had several dogs, and they especially loved Poodles and Chow Chows. In later life, Hilary was unable to care for pets of her own, but she always continued to help animals through her donations to the SPCA. Thank you, Hilary, for your kindness and compassion, and for being there for future generations of animals by leaving a gift with the BC SPCA.
