March 12, 1921 – July 17, 2017
Flo Petterson (nee Bates) was born in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, where she grew up with her two brothers. Flo moved to Victoria as a young adult, where she worked for the Provincial Government. She met Walter Petterson and they were married June 12, 1948. Flo and Walter were avid dancers, enjoying square dancing and ballroom dance. Although they had no children of their own, they both loved and doted on their own pets. Flo and Walter loved all animals and strongly believed that they had a responsibility to help provide for those without homes and caring families of their own. They were long-time supporters of the BC SPCA Victoria branch. Flo was 96 when she passed, and she will be missed by her nieces and extended family.
