When we meet our canine companions, our bond with them is often instant.

Suszanne was committed to Sasha from the very start. After the three-hour drive from Campbell River to Victoria, Suszanne’s dreams came true when she met Sasha in person at the BC SPCA Victoria Community Animal Centre in August 2021.

It has only been a couple of weeks since Suszanne and her partner brought Sasha home, but it sounds like she has already fallen fast and hard for her new canine pal:

“We drove from Campbell River to Victoria for our meet and greet with Sasha. As soon as we saw her, we fell in love with her and took her home the same day.

When we got Sasha home, we gave her some dinner and then let her run after the ball in the yard.

Sasha is slowly learning to not pancake when she doesn’t want to come back inside from her walks. We wait patiently for her to take a couple of steps and stand there with her until she is ready to move again.

I never knew how much joy Sasha would bring us. She certainly is teaching us that she has enough love for the two of us and splits it evenly between us.

I can’t imagine my life without her.”
