Raven

Sometimes a kind person recognizes a vulnerable animal and brings that animal to us. Beautiful Raven was a three-year-old living in a dangerous situation when she was dropped off at our BC SPCA Vancouver Animal Hospital by such a person on July 29, 2014.

Raven was transferred to the BC SPCA Vancouver Community Animal Centre because she was healthy and needed only a spay and vaccinations to make her ready to catch the eye of the right adopter.

Two weeks later she began her best life with in her new forever home. Her adoptive parent wrote to share how much she has been loved and cared for over the years:

“My cat Raven–the love of my life–I was happy to adopt a few years after my first cat died. Raven has been a bright spot of my life since then. So I’m here to say that she is still alive, well and very healthy and happy with her life at 12 years old.

I probably pamper her too much with toys, pillow beds and play time. I treat her like my own child.”

We love to hear about how the animals who were once in our care are doing so many years down the road. What a lucky day it was for Raven when you walked into the shelter and took her home with you, where she has everything a companion animal could ever want.

Thank you for making the choice to adopt. May your love affair continue for years to come.
