Polaris

Polaris wasn’t in the best shape when he came into our care in the autumn of 2022. He needed some medical attention and lots of love. Once he started feeling better and he’d had a chance to warm up to us, we saw his true personality come out to shine.

Polaris had the tiniest meow we’ve ever heard, but also such a playful and curious temperament. We were sure this handsome boy would find his forever family in no time.

In November 2022, Connor was looking for a feline companion to join his family. When they arrived at the BC SPCA Vancouver Community Animal Centre and met Polaris, the family knew that no further trips to the shelter would be necessary. Polaris was the one.

It has now been a couple of months since Connor adopted Polaris, and he has written to us to share an update:

“We had recently moved to Vancouver and were looking for a furry friend to join our little family. We met Polaris on our first trip to the BC SPCA Vancouver Community Animal Centre and instantly fell in love with him.

He was still a bit sick at the time, so we expected him to be shy, but he immediately showed us what a lovable boy he is. We brought him home as soon as we could and he has made us so happy ever since.

Polaris is a sweet kitty who loves attention and belly rubs. He is a mighty hunter who has a treasure trove of toys, which he hides under the bed. This little man follows us everywhere we go and loves being around us, whether it’s in the kitchen or the bathroom. We couldn’t be happier with him.

He had some litter box issues for the first week or so, but the staff at the BC SPCA were amazing and helped us help him be comfortable in his new home.

I would encourage everyone to adopt a homeless animal. They will brighten up your life so much and you’ll be giving them the loving home they deserve.”
