June 7, 2020 was a lucky day for three-year-old female, Jade.
That was the day she was brought by Animal Control to the BC SPCA North Cariboo District Branch. If she had remained a stray, she might have faced a very rough life, and would have contributed to the cat overpopulation problem in the province.
Instead, she was spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, all in preparation for a brand new life with her new adopter. It didn’t take long for this sweet beauty to catch someone’s eye.
A week after her arrival at her new home on June 17, her guardian wrote to tell us how she’s adjusting.
I am so excited and happy for Jade. She was everything and more I was looking for and is such a delight.
The staff were so supportive and helpful. Thank you all.
When I asked Jade if she loved her new home a high-pitched meow came out like a “yes.”
She is a loved and pampered young lady and loves her cuddles from everyone, especially me.
It looks like it didn’t take long for this precious gem to realize she could relax.
