- Okanagan (Vernon)
- Okanagan (Kelowna)
- Sunshine Coast
“All registered participants receive a walk bib on event day to write the name of the animals they are walking for,” says Tess Repenning, BC SPCA manager, peer-to-peer and community fundraising. “Bring your dog, meet fellow animal lovers in your community, enjoy fun activities and walk together to help animals in need.”
Repenning notes how easy it is to register and fundraise. “Whether you’d like to sign up for the event as an individual or a team, you’ll be able to enjoy fundraising support right up to the day of the event.”
To find a walk near you or learn more about the event, visit our Paws for a Cause walk page. All funds raised will go to the local BC SPCA branches where walks are held to provide emergency care and other services for homeless animals. In 2018, Paws for a Cause raised nearly $420,000. All walks are held on Sunday, September 8 and are between 1 km and 5 km in length.
The BC SPCA wishes to thank this event’s provincial Paws sponsors: Hill’s® Science Diet®, CTV, Petsecure and PwC.
