The BC SPCA is getting ready to unleash its Paws for a Cause event in Surrey’s Sullivan Park on Sunday, Sept. 9, proudly presented by Hill’s® Science Diet®. Animal lovers are invited to join us in a day full of fun-filled activities, including a carnival-themed fair with games and prizes for all ages. You’ll be able to visit our vendors – who will have products available for both humans and animals – and can also enjoy delicious vegan, vegetarian and SPCA Certified food options.
“New to this year’s event is a dog-friendly beer garden area from 3 Dogs Brewing,” says Tess Repenning, BC SPCA manager, peer-to-peer and community fundraising, “participants will enjoy a three-and-a-half kilometre walk in support of our province’s domestic, farm and wild animals. It’s a great opportunity to get to know the people in your community all while fighting back against animal cruelty.”
Repenning says it’s not too late to sign up. “If you don’t want to miss out on this pawesome event, be sure to take a look at our walk site, where you can register. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re an individual, a group or a corporate team. Additionally, signing up ahead guarantees you fundraising support leading up to the event, and secures you a spot at one of B.C.’s biggest days for animals!”
Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers.
The BC SPCA wishes to thank this event’s local sponsors for their support of this walk: 3 Dogs Brewing; The HomeHappy.ca Team; Pulse 107.7; The Bone & Biscuit Co.; Cats at Home Feline Hospital; Short & Sweet Patisserie and Bakery and Jennifer Watts, RBC. We’d also like to thank our generous provincial Paws sponsors: Hill’s® Science Diet®; CTV, Petsecure; PwC and TV Week.
