Ethel was born in Saxon Hills, Saskatchewan. She passed away in Parksville, B.C., with her nephew Ron Ulmer by her side. She is survived by bother Mike and Frank Abday, sister Helen and numerous nephews and nieces. Her cats were here children – JoJo, Taffy, Tiah, Shiloh, Cassie and Mynah. Ethel had a green thumb and loved gardening. She also bowled and played bingo. She moved to Prince George in 1970 and worked at Woodwards and Safeway as cashier and in the floral department for many years. Ethel moved to Vancouver Island a few years ago. She will be missed but never forgotten.
