When looking to adopt an animal, it is worth the wait for the right match.
Jean knew she wanted to hold out for the purrfect addition to her family. Fortunately, in October 2023, Jean met Miss Kitty at the BC SPCA Williams Lake Community Animal Centre. A friendly young adult feline, the shelter staff believed Miss Kitty would do well with slow, intentional introductions to other animal family members.
Jean thought Miss Kitty would do well in her home—and she was correct! A couple months after adopting Miss Kitty, Jean has written to us with an update to share:
“We wanted the right cat, so we waited. When I saw Miss Kitty’s picture on the BC SPCA adoption website, I sent an email immediately.
Miss Kitty has fit in so well in our home. We wanted a cat who would accept living with dogs. My German Shorthair absolutely loves her. They cuddle and play together.
Miss Kitty’s mannerisms fit so perfectly with our household. We love her.”
Thank you, Jean, for choosing adoption as your first option. We admire that you were able to wait until you came across Miss Kitty, and that you instantly recognized she would fit in so well with your family. Your patience has paid off. We love to see furry sibling relationships flourish. We wish you many more harmonious and happy moments over the years to come.
