Chiefer Sutherland

When we adopt out young animals, it warms our hearts to know that they have truly found their forever family.

Back in November 2012, Siobhan met Chiefer Sutherland at the BC SPCA Vancouver Community Animal Centre. She knew she had met her adventure pal for life.

Just a young dog when he came into our care, we knew Chief needed a companion who would give him the fulfilling life he craved and deserved. Siohban provided him everything he needed and more.

In the 11 years since, they have shared many adventures together as a duo, and Siobhan has now shared their story with us:

I found Chief at the BC SPCA Vancouver Community Animal Centre in November 2012. He was almost two years old and he was surrendered to the BC SPCA Williams Lake Community Animal Centre when his owners had to move and couldn’t take him.

Adopting Chief was the best decision I ever made. He has been my best friend and adventure buddy ever since. We have taken road trips all over B.C., Alberta and Long Beach, California.

We have swam in lakes, rivers and oceans together. We have gone hiking and snowshoeing in the mountains. We’ve also sat together in front of fire pits and fireplaces.

Our adventures and walks are slower and closer to home now. Chief has a lot of snow on the roof and I do too.

I love Chief with my whole heart. He truly is the best friend a girl could have.”

Thank you, Siohban, for adopting Chiefer Sutherland. Thank you for being so committed to having Chief by your side throughout everything over the past 11 years. We love that you have shared so many moments all over the continent and west coast. It’s clear you have been devoted to giving Chief the best life possible.
