When Boe came to the BC SPCA Vernon Branch, he was very shy and was scared to be around a lot of people.

We knew his forever family would have to be patient and willing to give Boe special care and lots of time to come out of his shell. He had a gentle soul but could sometimes come off as a bit rough.

Luckily, he did find his forever family. They sent us this update:

My family and I are from Kamloops and we wanted to add a big dog to our family, so we found Boe online.

When we got him he was severely thin, unsocialized, and scared of other people but now he’s more friendly. We had issues because he had a thing for nipping tails but we’ve worked that out and he’s become wonderful and social over the couple years we’ve had him.

He is great friends with our other adopted cats, the smaller one more so. He’s a ball of fun and we love him.

That’s so great to hear that Boe has learned to become more social around others. Your patience and training with him seems to have paid off, helping him be his best self. Thank you for creating a happy and healthy environment for him and for choosing adoption as your first option.
