There are many moments in life when we have no choice but to listen to our instincts.
When Joanna came across Coda available for adoption at the BC SPCA West Vancouver Community Animal Centre in January 2025, she couldn’t deny she already felt a connection to this beautiful dog.
Knowing that Coda was meant to be in her life, Joanna arrived at the shelter at the earliest opportunity. It has now been several months, and the rest is history.
We have received an update from Joanna about Coda’s new life:
“After seeing Coda’s photo, we knew we had to meet her. The next day, we headed to the BC SPCA West Vancouver Community Animal Centre the moment it opened.
A few hours later, we were heading home with Coda in the back seat.
She is so friendly and expressive, and makes life a lot more fun. She is a top-tier outdoor adventurer—the perfect crag dog in training!
Coda’s other hobbies include playing indoor tennis ball soccer, hanging with her dog BFFs, trying (and failing) to befriend the cat, coming to work with me and eating every treat like it’s her last.
Coda has been an amazing addition to our family.”
Thank you, Joanna, for adopting Coda. We are so grateful that you trusted your gut. Thank you for making sure she is leading an incredibly fulfilling life. It’s clear that Coda was meant to be your canine companion. We love to see how she has settled into her new adventurous life with you and we look forward to hearing about more of your adventures together.
