Blair Plumridge – August 4, 1964 – November 25, 2020
Blair and Bernadene were long-time residents of Chilliwack. Blair was an accountant, and Bernadene ran a family daycare. The pair had big hearts for animals. They had no children of their own, but their animals became like family to them. They had a particular love of cats and rescued many over the years. One of their cats had been left to fend for himself when their previous family moved, another was an abandoned kitten who they found sleeping on their doorstep. Other rescue cats followed, coming from various shelters.
If Bernadene ever saw a homeless person with an animal, she would tell them to wait while she went to get food for them and their pets. She knew every dog and cat in the neighbourhood and often prayed for animals who were sick or in distress. Both Blair and Bernadene had unending compassion for animals and wanted to help them whenever they could. Thank you, Blair and Bernadene, for your amazing kindness and generosity, and for thinking of future generations of animals by leaving a gift in your will.
