The BC SPCA Pet Food Bank program

Life can be unpredictable, and when times get tough, families sometimes struggle to provide for their pets. The pet food bank program offers free supplies and pet food to help people care for their four-legged family members. By easing this burden, we prevent heartbreaking situations where beloved pets are surrendered to shelters simply because their guardians can’t afford to feed them.

Since it started, the BC SPCA pet food bank program has:

    • Helped thousands of families to keep their pets at home
    • Supported community partners and human food banks to provide extra resources for their clients
    • Reduced animal centre overcrowding by preventing unnecessary surrenders

    Your Kindness Fills Hungry Bellies

Adorable kitties, Felix and Boots, had to rely on their local pet food bank when their loving guardian was taking into hospital.
