We are happy to hear that you are looking to have your pet fixed! The BC SPCA Victoria branch is pleased to offer a low-cost spay/neuter program based on Statistics Canada’s low-income qualifications chart.
We don’t have a vet on site, so we don’t perform the procedure here. What we do offer, however, is a voucher for low-income families to get their pet spayed or neutered at a low cost.
The voucher covers the cost of the basic spay or neuter which includes the surgery, anesthesia and the pain meds post-surgery, but any further costs such as vaccinations and other potential treatments are not covered by the Victoria BC SPCA, so you will want to ask about those when you book your appointment.
To apply to the program, please fill out the form below.
How can you take advantage of this program?
- Fill in the form below.
- Staff will process your information and create your spay/neuter voucher. If you do not meet the low-income qualifications, we will reach out to you with alternative resources.
- You will be notified when your voucher has been created, and an appointment will be scheduled for pick-up.
- Pick up your voucher at the BC SPCA Victoria Branch with valid photo ID, proof of low-income (tax assessment from year prior or letter from the ministry) and your payment ($75 for a cat, rabbit, or dog).
- Schedule your vet appointment with one of the participating veterinary clinics (a list will be provided on the voucher).
