Pauline Dranfield was a kind person and well respected by her friends and neighbours. She was involved with the administration of her church and always had an animal friend. When she retired from a career with the Provincial Government, she traveled extensively and when at home befriended neighbourhood animals, dogs or cats, and they could often be found enjoying her companionship. One in particular would visit her regularly on weekdays and at “quitting time” would watch for his family to return home so that he could leave safely. Sadly, both succumbed to the ravages of time and passed away within a short period of each other. Pauline gave generously to Church and to charity and leaves no family but a circle of good friends to remember her kind deeds.
