It’s the pawty of the year: Paws for a Cause presented by Hill’s® Science Diet® is back!

August 21, 2018

Raise the woof and get excited!

Animal lovers across the province are invited to register and fundraise for the annual Paws for a Cause walk, presented by Hill’s® Science Diet®. This year, supporters of the BC SPCA’s Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and West Vancouver branches can enjoy a one-and-a-half-kilometre walk along the seawall at our beautiful new event location in Vancouver’s David Lam Park on Sunday, Sept. 9.

“It really is all paws on deck this year,” says Tess Repenning, BC SPCA manager, peer-to-peer and community fundraising. “There’s going to be so much fun for the entire family, whether you’re enjoying a beverage at our new dog-friendly beer garden area, enjoying the delicious selection of vegan, vegetarian, and SPCA Certified food, or taking part in games and activities for humans and pups – you could say it’d be a faux paw to miss out!”

Paws for a Cause truly makes a difference in the lives of animals right across the province. It’s wonderful to see communities band together to fight animal cruelty and raise much-needed funding.” Plus, Repenning notes how easy it is to sign up ahead of time online. “You can fundraise on your own, fetch a team of friends, or join us as a corporate group. Either way, you’ll enjoy fundraising support in the lead up to the event, and a guaranteed day of fun for everyone, be they two – or four-legged.”

Don’t fur-get to sign up for this amazing event by visiting our walk website. You’ll also learn more about how your participation and fundraising dollars ensure the BC SPCA can continue to protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in B.C.
