Si is looking for a very experienced breed-savvy guardian who can give him the love and extra support he needs and deserves. This pup wants plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Long hikes, jogs, fetch and positive training sessions are right up his alley!
Si hasn’t had a great life. He needs a committed guardian – one who is retired, works from home, or has a flexible schedule, and can give him a good routine. He doesn’t like being alone, and get anxious and barky. He has some obsessive behaviours with brooms, and metal bowls, garbage cans and anything with water inside. He likes playing in it, and with the bowl, but the behaviour has improved a lot during his time at the BC SPCA.
Ideally, Si would be in an adults-only home with no other animals. It’ll take a patient guardian multiple visits to bond with him, as he is extremely anxious and can’t settle with strangers. Right now, longer car rides aren’t for him, but we’re helping him work on this behaviour. He will absolutely improve with his ongoing positive trainer! He would be great for nose work, agility, obedience or any doggy sport. Si must have a fenced yard to set him up for success. Come meet this special guy.
