Jean led a rich, full life and one of the constants throughout her life was her love for animals, especially dogs. Jean was born in Montreal and studied at McGill University. She sang in choirs in Montreal, loved reading, classical music, and played the piano. She worked as a librarian and Administrative Secretary at Douglas College in New Westminster. When she passed away (in 2002) at the age of 69, Jean left a generous gift to the BC SPCA in her Will. Jean is missed by her husband, three children and two grandchildren. Her bequest will help to cover the cost of caring for dogs at the Vancouver shelter.
