When an abandoned car with four flat tires was towed to a tire shop, the staff were shocked by what they discovered inside. A mother cat and her two tiny three-week-old kittens peered out from the filthy interior. Hungry, dehydrated and terrified, this little family was in desperate need of help.

After being brought to the BC SPCA and examined by a veterinarian, it was clear that the little family would need urgent care and a safe place to recover. A kind foster parent stepped up, offering a loving home where the mother, now named Cardamom, and her kittens, Nutmeg and Marshmallow Fluff (because they’re just so sweet!), could begin their healing journey together.

This small family’s journey to recovery is not over yet. Despite how beautiful this young mum is, Cardamom is still facing health challenges caused by weeks of neglect. Her kittens are underweight and require round-the-clock care, including specialized nutrition, medical attention, and plenty of love.
