Youth ages 12 and 13 (born 2005-2006) who want to make the world a better place for animals can join us at our Vancouver location for a unique after-school program!
Young animal advocates will learn how to speak up for animals in their community. Special projects to take action for animals in need, guest speakers and time spent with suitable animals in our care will fill three fun-packed sessions. Each session will run from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. The cost to register for all three is $75.
- December 3
- December 10
- December 17
Questions about our Vancouver workshops can be directed to Lisa Keegan.
Please note: Our programs focus on educating youth about animals through fun and engaging activities. Kids will get a shelter tour and some time with approved suitable animals. When available, kids will also interact with behaviourally evaluated dogs owned by staff or guest speakers (not shelter dogs). Kids will not be cleaning cages or working directly with the animals during the workshop.
