Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHD) public vaccination clinic

The BC SPCA Vancouver Animal Hospital is offering a public vaccination clinic on July 13 from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m to help rabbit guardians protect their pets against Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHD), a highly contagious and potentially fatal virus.  The goal of the clinic is to make the vaccine accessible to guardians facing financial challenges, those with multiple rabbits, or those who do not have a regular veterinarian.

A fee of $50 per rabbit will include the vaccine as well as a brief examination prior to receiving the vaccine. Guardians facing financial challenges or with multiple rabbits may be eligible for additional support; inquire at time of booking. “We want to ensure that area rabbit guardians have access to this important vaccine to protect their pets,” says Dr. Kyla Townsend, lead veterinarian at the BC SPCA Vancouver Animal Hospital. Space is limited and pre-booking for the clinic is required at 604-879-3571 or spcahosp@spca.bc.ca. The BC SPCA Vancouver Animal Hospital is located at 1205 E. 7th Avenue.
