Myrtle Theresa Hahn was born in Calgary in 1923, but moved to Victoria in 1932 and, except for 8 years in eastern Canada, spent the rest of her life there.
Myrtle was a kind and generous woman who supported many charities and wildlife organizations. She and her husband Ron, though never blessed with children, always had pets, which were always well loved and treated as family. When it came time to plan her estate, Myrtle ensured that there was a legacy to the BCSPCA in memory of the pets that brought her so much joy and pleasure in her lifetime.
